Responsibilities
The Production Group Leader will be responsible for:
- Leading a team of production staff to achieve safety, quality, and productivity standards
- Resolving machinery and quality problems in the production area
- Inspecting line set-ups and continuously monitoring operations and supplies
- Monitoring changeovers, productivity, and scrap
- Coordinating and prioritizing work assignments and training, guiding and developing associates
- Monitoring process and production, leading the team to resolve issues and identify improvement opportunities
- Leading employee relations and facilitating communication between leaders and your team
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Able to work a 3-2-2-3 schedule (3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off)
- H.S/GED required
- At least 1-year experience overseeing teams of 4 or more people in a manufacturing environment
- Great social and interpersonal skills to relate with and motivate people
- Proficient operating a computer to enter and retrieve data
- Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
- Knowledge of 6S and continuous improvement desired
