As Plant Manager, you are responsible for the successful operation of our manufacturing site in East Longmeadow, MA. Your leadership impact will contribute to site safety, quality, production, logistics, maintenance, compliance and profitability. You Will
- Lead all functions of a 140-person production facility to achieve goals and objectives.
- Ensure department managers are effectively working together to plan, prioritize and execute site strategy.
- Efficiently utilize resources to maintain cost, quality, safety, compliance, scrap reduction and other important targets.
- Collaborate with the Site Leadership Team to build strong, motivated, engaged teams and to shape a positive work environment.
- Maintain accountability for ISO compliance and adherence to safety programs (ie. GMP, OSHA, HACCP, etc.).
- Engage with customers to develop and prioritize strategy, aligning resources and schedules to meet customer expectations.
- Manage direct reports, assuring positive performance management, training and professional development, communications & recognition and a Safety First Culture.
- Drive operational excellence across the site to maximize employee contributions and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree, with a preference for an Engineering or Industrial Technology discipline.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in high-volume manufacturing, with at least seven (7) years in a leadership/management role. Strong preference for plastic packaging industry experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of all facets of manufacturing operations, including production, maintenance, logistics, quality, engineering, safety and budget/financials.
- Proven success creating and sustaining a continuous improvement environment.
- Excellent leadership and management capabilities, with a solid track record of building high-performing teams, building relationships with all levels of employees and interfacing with executives and customers.
