What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Operations Center Technician position at Plateau?
Plateau is accepting applications for a Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician for our Clovis, NM Headquarters location.
The Network Operations Center is responsible for 24x7x365 monitoring, maintenance, and operation of various telecommunications service delivery network elements. Examples of network elements include voice switch and voice mail system, access tandem, fiber and copper access equipment, operator services systems, optical transport network, and fixed wireless network.
Minimum requirements to apply include intermediate-level knowledge and experience of IP networking, superior organizational skills and attention to detail, proficient computer/ keyboarding skills, and an aptitude for learning new software applications. The ability to handle multiple activities occurring simultaneously in multiple systems, being able to work well in a fast-paced team environment, and ensuring timely and accurate data entry are also required.
The regular schedule for this position will be between 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. However, the successful candidate will be required to work a rotating shift from 12 pm to 9 pm one week per month. Flexibility to work variable shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, and callout hours as needed in order to meet the operational needs of the department is required.
