Job Summary
Hello , We are located in Williamstown ,MA, beautiful small college town.
First month rent and flight ticket (out of state candidates) are offered. One week salary will be paid as a sign in bonus after 3 months of employment. One week paid vacation and bonus will be paid annually. It is not required, but culinary art degree is preferred.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced sous chef and line cook to join our team. As a sous chef and line cook, you will be responsible for overseeing the food preparation and kitchen operations in our restaurant. Your expertise in menu planning, food management, and leadership will be essential in ensuring our customers' delivery of high-quality meals.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook delicious and visually appealing meals according to recipes and customer preferences
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager to develop menus that meet customer demands and align with seasonal availability
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
- Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments as necessary to maintain high standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following sanitation regulations
- Assist in banquet preparations as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef or similar role in a restaurant or culinary establishment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, flavor profiles, and menu planning
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
