JOB TITLE: SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST II
DEPARTMENT: SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
REPORTS TO: DIRETOR OF SUPPLY CHAIN
CLASSIFICATION:EXEMPT
JOB SUMMARY:
The Supply Chain Specialist will perform a wide variety of tasks relating to the incoming, outgoing shipments and Property Management of materials, merchandise or equipment. This role will coordinate shipments and work to improve supply chain processes. Procures materials and manages order prices and quantities; receives shipments and organizes inventories; forecasts demand, responds to changes in demand, and resolves supply chain issues.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up all logistics and transportation
- Coordinate vendor supplier interactions
- Support the Director of Supply with daily Material Control and Purchasing activities and special projects.
- Assist the Purchasing team in maintaining accurate records, processing orders, and resolving supply chain issues.
- Help streamline and improve supply chain operations to meet company goals.
- Ensure teams follow and complete inventory plans.
- Ensure all changes/discrepancies are updated accordingly in our inventory system
- Updates tracking/management database
- Supports customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning, and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, and/or activities
- Ensure high quality products from suppliers
- Responsible for the assessment of supply resources; aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements; plans inventory, distribution requirements, production, material and rough-cut capacity for all products.
- Assist with training in all aspects of property, providing input for instructional documentation and implementing processes
- Perform other duties as assigned
BASIC REQUIRMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, with 2 years of demonstrated related experience. An A.S. with 5 years of relevant experience may be considered or 7 years of related experience in lieu of education
- 2 years' experience shipping and receiving material
- 2 years' experience in sourcing new suppliers
- Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Logistics background with experience in international shipments and experience in ITAR and HTS Requirements.
- Supply Chain Background and experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times, more with assistance.
- Work environment consists of various office and manufacturing settings with may have exposure to noise, varying temperatures, smells, and chemicals.
- Ability to traverse manufacturing facility.
