Join an industry leader in Defense as a Sales Engineer with our client’s team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Whilst they are also renowned for their crucial aerospace technologies, their S&T Division leads the global market in high-performance motion simulation. Offering advanced products such as inertial guidance test systems, hardware-in-the-loop simulators, and after-market services.
Responsibilities of a Sales Engineer:
- Meet or exceed annual booking targets.
- Develop new business through effective lead generation and leveraging both existing and new customers.
- Interact with customers to increase sales of services, turnkey solutions, and products.
- Review customer requirements and recommend suitable products.
- Collaborate with the Operations Team to develop technical proposals, specifications, and price quotations.
- Travel domestically to customer facilities to understand and uncover customer needs.
- Attend tradeshows and conferences to promote services, solutions, and products, expanding the sales pipeline.
- Identify new customer requirements or applications requiring their services, solutions, and products.
- Engage in technical discussions with customers, providing written documentation as needed.
- Develop sales strategies for new significant opportunities.
- Formulate pricing recommendations.
- Maintain an accurate sales forecast.

Requirements of a Sales Engineer
- Associate’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 3-6 years in Aerospace or Defense Sales
- Experience in servo systems and/or motion control
- Willingness to travel approximately 40 – 50%
- US Citizens and Green Card holders ONLY. No sponsorships
