Mid to Senior Mechanical Engineer - Nuclear – Up to $135K – Coastal NC
My client is a rapidly scaling company manufacturing technology for the nuclear energy sector. They’re rapidly growing over the next year, particularly in engineering and are on the lookout for multiple mechanical engineers to join. Main Duties:
Design of complex machinery for use in the nuclear industry
Development and analysis – thermal, strain, stress etc
Adherence to strict nuclear regulations
Working with teams in I&C and electrical engineering
Skills and experience required:
Q-Clearance, Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
3 years’ experience for a mech engineer, 7 for senior
CAD: Solidworks ideal
Good understanding of mechanical principles – hand calcs, ANSYS (FEA) etc
Experience in the nuclear industry ideally – other highly regulated industries okay
