As a Medicaid Advocate you will be navigating the nuances of elder law via long term care Medicaid application approvals for the elderly needing HHC, ALF, or Nursing Home care. The Medicaid Advocate will be responsible for implementing both simple and complex asset protection plans developed by experienced and skilled elder law attorneys. Coordinating clients, attorneys, Medicaid, and health care providers for the ultimate benefit and benefit approval of the elderly.
You will be the central player in helping the elderly and their families protect the assets accumulated over a lifetime.

**Responsibilities:**
- Advocate for clients to ensure they receive necessary Medicaid benefits and services
- Assist clients in completing Medicaid applications and renewal forms
- Educate clients on their rights and responsibilities within the Medicaid program
- Conduct assessments to determine client eligibility for Medicaid programs
- Provide guidance on available community resources and support services
- Recording and maintaining accurate information in a database system.
- Complying with federal, state, and company regulations and policies.
- Performing other clerical tasks, as required.
**Skills:** Bolded Skills are a Must - Non-Bolded can be Taught
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance standards
- Experience in Medicaid processing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail.
- Knowledge of annuities, life insurance, IRA’s, brokerage accounts, etc.
- Critical thinking skills
- Computer literate and proficient in MS Office
