What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto Body Detailer position at Platinum Collision Express?
We are seeking an In-Person Detailer to join our team! Applicants must be friendly, outgoing, willing to learn and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be available Monday through Friday from 7am – 5pm and Saturdays from 8am – 11am.
Job Description:
- Exterior cleaning prior to vehicle repairs
- Inspect vehicles upon arrival to assess their condition
- Documenting vehicles’ condition through notes or photos
- Interior and exterior cleaning after vehicle repairs are completed (vacuuming, clean windows, wipe all interior surfaces, clean floormats, and clean exterior as well as clean wheels and tires)
- Post Detail Inspection (inspect vehicle for defects, touch-up, missing parts, and ensure headlamps, taillamps, back-up lamps and turn signals are in working order)
- Utilize your skills to carefully identify imperfections such as swirl marks and scratches.
- Buff, compound and apply touch-ups to ensure quality repair finishes
- Moving vehicle around shop as needed
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Attention to detail
- The ability to stand for long periods, bending and working in different positions to clean and detail vehicles as well as perform manual labor and lifting heavy objects
- The ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills
- Works well with others to achieve common goals
- Reliability and Punctuality
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- The ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles
Salary: $18.00/hour
