Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment for construction tasks, including but not limited to tractors, loaders, and excavators.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor as required during construction activities.
- Supervise team members to ensure adherence to safety protocols and project timelines.
- Handle animals safely and effectively during the construction process when necessary.
- Assist in irrigating fields as part of the overall project scope.
- Utilize welding skills to construct or repair structures as needed.
- Employ power tools for various construction tasks, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic repairs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, preferably in a farm or agricultural setting.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and engage in physically demanding work.
- Experience supervising teams or individuals in a construction environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of animal handling practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and techniques is desirable.
- Proficiency in welding techniques for metal fabrication and repairs.
- Competence in using power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience with equine facilities or related work is a nice-to-have skill but not mandatory.
