Job Location: Cosmetic Laser Dermatology - San Diego, CA
Position Type: Full Time
Salary Range: $22.00 - $25.00 Hourly
Description
- Fulfill responsibilities as assigned by providers and management.
- Assist busy Dermatology & Cosmetic practice with pre and post procedure Dermatology and Cosmetic treatments, including skin cancer reconstructions, acne treatments, biopsies, treatment of warts and rashes, suture removals, and cosmetic injectables (Botox, Fillers).
- Escort patient to and from exam room, help patient prepare for exam.
- Enter medical histories and prescriptions into EMR.
- Assist physician during exam/procedure in providing quality care to patients.
- Scribe office visit.
- Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results and schedule follow up appointments.
- Educate patients and respond to patient questions in office/on phone as needed
- Document all medical instructions given to patients.
- Clean and organize exam rooms, prepare procedure trays, clean and autoclave instruments, and stock supplies.
Qualifications
- Certification Preferred (i.e., Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Dermatology Technician, etc.)
- Minimum two years experience in a clinical setting
- Prior dermatology and cosmetic experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical dermatology terms/CPT, ICD-10
- Knowledge of cosmetic products, procedures, and terminology
