As a System Administrator, you will help design and manage our production environment and DevOps processes, ensuring high uptime, performance, and adherence to security requirements for our small and growing, thriving, multi-million-dollar software company.


Responsibilities: 
•    Manage and maintain the company's production environment, including servers, databases, and infrastructure 
•    Design, implement, and monitor DevOps pipelines for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) of .NET applications on Azure 
•    Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration between code changes and production environments 
•    Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system performance, availability, and security 
•    Develop and maintain technical documentation for systems architecture, configuration, and best practices 
•    Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud computing, DevOps, and .NET development 
•    Perform general systems administration tasks, including cloud server management, network configuration, and troubleshooting 
•    Manage the production environment, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security 
•    Design, deploy, and manage Azure-based infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, and networking 
•    Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize resources for improved efficiency 
•    Develop and maintain technical documentation for systems administration procedures and best practices 
•    Manage and track security incidents as a key part of our response team 


Minimum Requirements: 
•    3 years of experience as a Systems Admin or similar experience 
•    Strong understanding of Azure, SQL Server, and related technologies  
•    Experience managing production environments on Azure, including deployment strategies and monitoring tools 
•    Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for automating testing, building, and deploying software applications 
•    Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot complex system issues 
•    Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

  • This position is based “remotely”; you must have a “workspace or office” in your home with strong internet access.  Must work efficiently, effectively, and successfully from your remote office.


Preferred Qualifications: 
•    Certification in Azure or .NET development (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert - Azure Developer) 
•    Experience working with Agile development methodologies and Scrum framework 
•    Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance regulations (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS) 
 
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
The chosen employee is required to talk and listen to employees and clients, stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time, and be willing to work long hours and possibly weekends when business requires.  The work environment will be at their home office most of the time.  They will be required to use office equipment, cellular phones, laptops, and computer software provided by the company on a regular basis.
