Our firm is seeking a Staff Accountant who enjoys collaboration and wants an opportunity to expand their professional career in an experienced CPA firm environment with diverse clientele. This is primarily an onsite position.
This individual must be a proactive, self-starter that is able to maintain client accounts and meet deadlines. They will be responsible for providing accounting/bookkeeping services to their assigned clients, assisting other clients as needed, and completing the month-end close process. The selected candidate must be able to not only collaborate with other team members but work independently to ensure task completion. Accountability is a key quality we require along with being detail oriented, able to multi-task, strong work ethic, and a desire to grow professionally.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Performing accounting functions to include reconciliations, recording and adjusting journal entries, analyzing accounts, fixed assets, depreciation, and completing trial balance to prepare tax returns.
· Managing 12 or more clients. This includes bookkeeping, budgeting, variance analysis, year-end preparation, projects, audit assistance, etc.
· Setting up clients on QuickBooks Online. Creating chart of accounts, assigning rules, recording journal entries, etc.
· Preparing monthly write ups.
· Preparing and analyzing financial statements.
· Quarterly/Yearly payroll tax filings and payments including 1096/1099/W2 forms.
· Provide analytical support for various projects.
· Research and resolve technical issues.
· 80% financial accounting and reporting, 10% special projects, 10% tax preparation.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting
· 2 – 4 years of accounting experience
· Eligible and actively pursuing CPA certification
· Intermediate excel skills
· Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (a plus)
· High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and written verbal/communication skills
· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
· Ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines
· Strong organizational skills with the capability to balance competing priorities
· Ability to leverage relationships within the organization to meet deliverables

Salary : $45,000 - $55,000
