POSITION SUMMARY : Tax Supervisor ensures that work delegated by the firm’s partner are completed accurately and timely. Clear communication with internal and external clients regarding deadlines and project details. This role requires exceptionally strong organization, communication and time management skills. Also, very important in this role is to have the ability to sense urgency and prioritize tasks, especially near tax deadline dates. We currently use Lacerte as our primary tax preparation software, experience with Lacerte is a plus.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :
Staff Management :
Tying schedules to balance sheet or profit and lossCapital AccountsAnalyzing partner / shareholder typesMentor and reviewAccounting
Workpaper reviewAdjusting journal entries in books (prior to workpaper prep and post-tax prep)Entities
Ensure changes of entity, new entities, or closed entities are convey to the team.Cross collaboration
Ensure books are ready for workpaperEnsure administration team process flow is timely and communicationTeam- Staff
Staff Planning, train, work timelines, and manage off shores staff for consistency from tax prep sops.Project Management :
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholdeDevelop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.Set clear project goals and performance metrics.Identify project dependencies, milestones, and potential risks.Communication (1.) internal with staff 2.) external with clients 3.) upward to partner)Client Management :
Timelines and planningCommunicationEnsure new clients are properly onboarded and timely communicatedResolving Client concernsTax Review :
Review federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts; also review related income tax work papers.Adjusting journal entries are in Books (prior to workpaper prep and post tax prep)Reviewing Client Data for Accuracy in LacerteTechnical review tax return filings prior to turning over to PartnerIdentify accounting and income tax issues and proposes strategies to resolve themOversee tax return calendar and coordinate timing and inputs with tax teamProperly research and seek advice from Partner when confronted with challenging tax circumstancesIdentify opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures. Provide software and process recommendations.Monitor timeliness of tax filingsDiagnosticsTax Entry for exceptions or special circumstances, new states, etc.Working with clients on tax concerns or questions not related to planning or more advanced concepts.Handling notices escalated from complianceTax Analysis :

Technical Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study.Experience :
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management or a related field.Experience managing cross-functional teams and large-scale projects.Proficiency with Lacerte, Tax Dome, Quickbooks, MS officeSkills and Competencies :
Strong leadership and team-building skills.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.High attention to detail and organizational skills.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS CONTINUED :

Strongly CPA license.Some knowledge of accounting and tax in cannabis industry.Strong knowledge and familiarity of US Tax preparation (Business and Personal returns).Strong knowledge of US Tax CodeCredentials / Certifications : QuickBooks Online Pro Certification or QuickBooks Online Advanced Certifications are preferred.Strong accounting, analytical, and research skillsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
