Staff Accountant

IMMEDIATE need for EXPERIENCED Staff Accountant to assist Accounting Team in Dallas, Texas 

starting $50,000 - $60,000

Immediate hire for an experienced accounting position.  This position is will be responsible for dedicated accounting and administrative oversite of our NW Regional Operation.  You will report directly to Platinum parking's Accounting Manager with close communications and direction with the Regional VP and team.

Must have accounting experience with NetSuite a plus.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager - Platinum, this role will be responsible for supporting the Accounting Manager in Platinum’s monthly close process to ensure management statements are issued accurately and timely.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the recording of journal entries including splits, management fees, insurance allocations, rebates and taxes,

·       Review general ledger to ensure activity is coded correctly.

·       Assist in the preparation of monthly client statements to send to operations team for review. 

·       Assist with the filing of sales tax returns until transitioned to external processor (TaxConnex).

·       Work with offshore team to insure bank recs, cash posting, credit card fees and revenue recording is completed accurately & timely.

·       Investigate and provide analysis and support to resolve reconciling items.

• Assist in improving, developing and documenting accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.

·       Ad-hoc analysis as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

·       Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

·       2 years relevant accounting experience.

·       Advanced Excel experience, NetSuite experience a plus.

·       Must have the self-determination to work autonomously and be an effective problem solver.

·       Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles

·       Takes initiative to identify problems and propose solutions.

·       Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

·       Ability to adapt to a dynamic and changing work environment.

Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
