Title: Oil & Gas Equipment Strategist
Position Overview:
The Oil & Gas Equipment Strategist develops and executes recommends optimized equipment & fleet management strategies which will be utilized across upstream, midstream, and downstream operations. This role combines technical expertise with business acumen transform current APM and Reliability software data into a new platform which will enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness in equipment and fleet asset performance management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review current strategies and recommend global strategic initiatives to standardize equipment strategies and enhance asset performance management and reliability across operations
- Lead the review mapping and optimization of equipment master data strategies, ensuring accurate hierarchy structures, classification, and attributes across all asset types
- Oversee the quality and integrity of equipment master data within enterprise systems, implementing governance procedures to maintain data accuracy
- Ensure equipment strategies align with compliance requirements and risk and criticality assessments
- Recommend standardization of equipment coding and naming conventions across global operations
- Provide condition reporting, inspection event, and equipment degradation reporting processes
- Utilize advanced APM and AIM software platforms to develop and optimize equipment strategies
- Develop and maintain detailed reliability metrics to monitor progress, measure performance, and assess the effectiveness of improvements.
Technical Requirements:
- Deep expertise in equipment master data management, including:
- Equipment taxonomy and classification systems specific to oil & gas industry
- Attribute frameworks for different equipment types (rotating, static, electrical, instrumentation)
- Industry standards development for equipment coding based on ISO14224
- Equipment hierarchy structuring and relationship mapping
- Critical equipment classification methodologies
Software Expertise:
- Demonstrated proficiency in Meridium APM, including:
- Configuration and implementation of RCM analysis modules
- Development of equipment maintenance strategies using RCM methodology
- Utilization of failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) tools
- Generation and analysis of equipment reliability metrics
- Creation and optimization of preventive maintenance programs
- Advanced knowledge of Credosoft Asset Integrity Management Software:
- Experience in risk-based inspection (RBI) implementation
- Configuration of equipment inspection schedules
- Management of regulatory compliance requirements
- Corrosion monitoring and assessment
- Integration with other enterprise systems for seamless data flow
- Experience designing and implementing AsInt reliability software:
- Implementation leveraging SAP Intelligent Asset Management (IAM), Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP S/4HANA, and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Maintenance platforms.
Required Qualifications:
- Expertise in reliability improvement methodologies such as FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance), DoE (Design of Experiments), and PdM (Predictive Maintenance), with strong statistical analysis capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 7 years of experience in oil & gas equipment management or related strategic role
- Strong understanding of oil & gas operations and equipment specifications
- Proven experience in strategic planning and implementation
- Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills
- Experience with enterprise asset management systems
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with equipment master data management in oil & gas operations
- Certified expertise in Meridium APM RCM software
- Demonstrated experience with Credosoft AIM implementation and utilization
- Strong understanding of ISO 14224 and other relevant equipment data standards
