What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner/Physicians Assistant position at Platinum Providers Group?

PPG is currently hiring a Nurse Practitioner/Physicians Assistant who will help us achieve our mission of providing high-quality medical care with professionalism and compassion, with personalized care built on a deep understanding of each of our patients unique needs.
The Nurse Practitioner/Physicians Assistant will perform the following tasks in any authorized setting:
• Obtaining patient history
• Performing physical examinations
• Ordering and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Formulating a diagnostic impression
• Developing and implementing a treatment plan
• Monitoring effectiveness of therapeutic interventions
• Offering counseling and education to meet patient needs
• Making appropriate referrals
• Prescribing and dispensing prescription medication in accordance with FL state laws and department policies
• Demonstrates ability to assess data reflective of patient's status and appropriately interprets information relative to patient's age-specific needs.
• Assist with ongoing departmental process improvement and policy development
• Other departmental or institutional committee assignments as needed
Qualifications:
- Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program.
- Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited Physicians Assistant Program.
- Current Nurse Practitioner/Physician License in good standing with the medical board
- BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross and DEA registration required.
