Director of HR Business Partners
A well-established organization in Indianapolis area is seeking a Director of HR Business Partners to provide strategic leadership and guidance to a team of HR professionals. This role reports directly to the VP of Human Resources and will oversee a team of seven, including four HR Business Partners and three HR Generalists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the HR Business Partner team, providing support in:
- Performance management
- Career development
- Coaching and mentorship
- Oversee and manage employee relations, investigations, and grievance processes
- Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations
- Provide guidance on union-related matters as needed, particularly regarding grievances and investigations
- While direct interaction with the union is minimal, familiarity with Teamsters protocols is beneficial
Ideal Background:
- Strong leadership experience in HR Business Partnering, Employee Relations, or HR
- Experience managing investigations and grievances
- Knowledge of compliance and employment law
- Prior experience with unionized environments is helpful but not required
