This position is responsible for the North America payroll function in managing accounting for payroll related activity from a day-to-day processing and month end close perspective. The North America payroll function covers approx. 3,400 employees across multiple states in the US and Canada.

Job Description
This position is responsible for the North America payroll function in managing accounting for payroll related activity from a day-to-day processing and month end close perspective. The North America payroll function covers approx. 3,400 employees across multiple states in the US and Canada.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities. Analyzing, researching, and explaining flux variances for payroll related accounts.
- Partner with Legal, HR, finance, and operational departments on ongoing business requirements. Establish and maintain Payroll process documentation, including account reconciliations, SOX controls, calendars and desktop procedures.
- Will be responsible for delivery of accurate and timely biweekly payroll reporting, as well as ensuring routine payroll compliance activities are conducted accurately and timely, such as resolving Federal, State, and Local tax jurisdiction issues , addressing employee mobility issues , integration of additional employees from acquisitions and the related accounting for these activities.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years payroll accounting experience, including 5 years in similar publicly traded technology companies preferred.
- Experience with:
- ADP WFN (Smart Compliance)
- Payroll Journal Entries (Bi-weekly, monthly, off cycles)
- GL Reconciliations
- Balance Sheet Fluctuations (B/S Flux)
- Quarterly Flux Consolidation
- Bureau of Labor Statistics reporting (BLS Reporting CA, VT, NY)
