IT Manager, Infrastructure and Security

JOB DESCRIPTION
IT Manager - Infrastructure and Security will oversee and manage our organization's IT infrastructure. This role will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT systems, including networks, servers, cloud environments, and enterprise hardware. The ideal candidate will lead a team of IT professionals, manage infrastructure projects, and ensure business continuity through proactive system maintenance and strategic planning.
- Infrastructure Management
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud-based solutions.
Ensure high availability, performance, and security of IT systems.Develop and implement IT policies and best practices related to infrastructure management.Maintain IT asset inventory and lifecycle management.Cybersecurity and ComplianceImplement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.Conduct regular risk assessments and business continuity planning.Project ManagementLead IT infrastructure projects from planning to execution, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
Develop project plans, define milestones, and track progress against objectives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT infrastructure projects with business goals.Identify risks, manage dependencies, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.Utilize project management frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, ITIL) to enhance project execution and delivery.Team Leadership and CollaborationLead and mentor a team of IT infrastructure specialists and administrators.
Collaborate with other IT and business leaders to align infrastructure strategy with organizational goals.Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT infrastructure services and solutions.Budget ManagementPlan and manage IT infrastructure budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies to optimize operational efficiency and cost savings.QUALIFICATIONS
Formal Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master degree preferred).Knowledge and Experience : Minimum of 5-7 years in IT infrastructure management, with at least 3 years in leadership and project management role.Technical Expertise :Strong knowledge of networking (LAN / WAN, VPN, firewalls) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and enterprise storage solutions.Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux server environments.Project Management SkillsProven experience managing IT infrastructure projects using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
