Job Duties of Laundry Aide :
Place soiled linen (facility or residents' personal linen) in washing machine
Select appropriate computer card to wash linens. When using larger washing machines select appropriate washing time and appropriate chemical setting
Changes detergent bottles when empty
Fold linen and transport clean facility linen to rooms to ensure adequate supply of linen
Fold and hang resident personal linen, and transport and distribute linen to resident's room.
Hang clothes in closet and places clothes in drawers.
Irons resident personal clothing as needed
Cleans dryer lint filters 4 times per day
Cleans filters behind washing machine at least 4 times per day
Qualifications for Laundry Aide :
Must work every other weekend
Ability to understand and follow procedures, work assignments, instructions, warnings, and labels
Adequate strength and endurance to meet the strenuous physical demands of such responsibilities as loading and unloading washers and dryers; coordination necessary to fold clothing items and linen
Color vision to ascertain stains and separate colored garments from white
Walk-in Interviews Welcome 10 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday!
