JOB SUMMARY
The Business Development Manager will grow our market share in the commercial roofing industry by prospecting and generating new commercial business, as well as perform cold calls in the field to generate new permanent sales, support existing clients, and have the ability to conduct product demonstrations in the assigned sales areas..

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage assigned sales market by creating and fostering relationships in the

commercial, industrial, and manufacturing markets to drive sales for Platinum Roofing.

• Identify and contact new customers for sales opportunities.
• Responsible for entering contacts and sales activity into programs (Salesforce) for tracking.
• Once a sale is approved, the Business Development Manager is responsible for

scheduling the approved work with the customer and appropriate Platinum Department (Service or Projects).

• New customer account management.
• Completing repair work from time to time with other roofers who work for Platinum Roofing, only as needed.
• Contacting the Service Manager and scheduling technicians for Emergency after-hours calls.
• Identifying additional work items/preventative maintenance items to be either completed while on-site or priced out with photo documentation to the customer for future work potentials (recommended actions).
• Effectively communicate all the above items daily to your local operations manager and sales manager. Including timely processing of customer documents to allow for timely processing of invoices.
• Work with local material suppliers to protect the interests of Platinum Roofing with competitive material pricing when needed.
• Work on long-term initiatives related to Platinum Roofing, LLC’s growth.
• Attend weekly meetings for sales and service.
• Attend monthly sales training.
• Attend monthly team safety meetings.
• Actively search for organizations/tradeshows/customer events to attend on behalf of yourself and Platinum Roofing.
• Build invoices promptly when needed and communicate with customers about any additional concerns that may arise.
• Provide the customer with the best scope of work for the job, showing fairness and honesty in every situation.
• Document all conversations, deals, and incoming emails within Salesforce to allow the entire sales team to remain up-to-date with all business within the department.
• Other duties as assigned or deemed necessary.

Base salary plus commission
Travel Requirement: 25%

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience in developing and executing territory sales strategies.
• Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• All Microsoft applications and software, Excel, Salesforce and Adobe experience is a plus.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Must pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check and drug screening.
Must be a high-performing, innovative, values-driven, informed, and passionate individual.

WORK CONDITIONS
The position is housed in a heated and cooled typical office environment. Occasional subjection to the outdoor elements when on a work site or traveling for business purposes.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a phone and computer.
Some standing and walking.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
