Platinum Technologies currently has an opportunity for a Senior Network Installation Technician at the customer site at Fort Meade, MD and will require travel. *Must hold an active TS/SCI*

What You Get To Do.

• Lead network survey, design and installations under direction of the government
• Conduct Site Surveys of customer premise networks in CONUS and OCONUS locations
• Create detailed Site Survey reports detailing a site’s current infrastructure, NIST and TEMPEST compliance, along with design recommendations
• Configure, install, test, certify, and troubleshoot network infrastructure cabling
• Ensure Network cabling infrastructure is compliant with current NIST and TEMPEST Standards
• Build and install equipment racks
• Install, dress, label, and terminate Cat6 and Fiber cable in telecommunications rooms
• Test and troubleshoot network infrastructure issues on SIPR and NIPR networks
• Create accurate reports and documentation to design/certify network infrastructure
• Track, manage, and ensure project tasks are completed in a timely manner
• Develop Bills of Material (BOM) for network plant design requirements
• Plan and perform preventive maintenance and scheduled upgrades (Life-cycle replacements)
• Investigate physical faults in the network
• Report network infrastructure deployment status to key stakeholders
• Have flexible working hours to be available to support off hour work, when needed
  
  
  

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
• Must hold an active TS/SCI
• Understanding of ANSI/TIA-568 and 569 standards
• Requirements of Protective Distribution Systems (PDS) for Classified Systems as directed by Security and/or the Certified Tempest Technical Authority (CTTA)
• Knowledge of National Security Telecommunication & Information Systems Security Instruction (NTISSI) 7003
• Knowledge of DISA network topologies and standards
• Topology and rack elevations using Visio
• Experience with various OTDR, cable testers, and network sniffers to develop reports for infrastructure certification documentation
  
  
  

Salary range: $75,000 to $100,000
