As a School Psychologist (LSSP), your responsibilities include:
- Conducting psychotherapy sessions with students to address mental health concerns.
- Performing assessments to develop personalized treatment plans for students.
- Maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and school policies.
- Facilitating group therapy sessions to support students in a collaborative setting.
- Utilizing expertise from post-residency or equivalent experience to provide high-quality care, including interventions for children with developmental disabilities.
- Collaborating with educators and administrators to implement strategies for student success.
To excel as a School Psychologist (LSSP), you will need:
- Texas State School Psychologist (LSSP) Certification or License (required).
- Experience working in a school setting (strongly preferred).
- Strong clinical and interpersonal skills, including the ability to connect with children and adolescents.
- The capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
