General Manager

Platinum Visual Solutions is a leading manufacturer of high-quality visual display products, including chalkboards, markerboards, tack boards, and whiteboards. We supply our products to general contractors, dealers, division 10 distributors, and educational institutions across the United States.

Job Summary:

Platinum Visual Solutions is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented General Manager to lead all aspects of operations at our Dixonville manufacturing facility. This role will carry full P&L responsibility, ensuring the plant meets or exceeds financial, operational, and customer service goals.

The GM will oversee Inside Sales, Customer Service, and cross-functional coordination between the plant and the main office to ensure seamless execution of business strategies. You’ll drive productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction across manufacturing, sales support, and service functions while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

· Own full P&L responsibility for the plant, developing and executing strategies to meet revenue, margin, and cost targets.

· Lead Inside Sales and Customer Service teams, ensuring exceptional customer engagement and on-time order fulfillment.

· Serve as the key liaison between the plant and main office, aligning production, scheduling, and business operations.

· Oversee daily manufacturing operations with a focus on efficiency, safety, and quality.

· Manage all plant departments including operations, HR, inventory, production, maintenance, logistics, and facility management.

· Champion a customer-first mindset while balancing operational performance and profitability.

· Implement lean manufacturing practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives across all functions.

· Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company policies.

· Drive workforce development through coaching, training, and performance management.

· Oversee materials management, procurement, and vendor relations to ensure supply chain reliability.

· Develop and track KPIs to measure operational performance and inform strategic decision-making.

· Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term planning, capital investments, and growth opportunities.

· Utilize ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365) to manage and analyze operations, reporting, and forecasting.

Qualifications & Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related field (MBA a plus).

· 7–10 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, including general management or plant management.

· Proven experience managing P&L and delivering financial results.

· Strong leadership and team development skills across both front-line and managerial levels.

· Knowledge of Inside Sales and Customer Service functions, with a strong customer orientation.

· Experience coordinating between multiple sites or departments within an organization.

· Proficient in ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).

· Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.

· Familiarity with lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies.

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to build alignment across cross-functional teams.
