Retail Sales Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while assisting them with their shopping needs. You will play a key role in driving sales and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
• Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including cash handling and credit card transactions.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product features to effectively sell and upsell items.
• Stock shelves and ensure that merchandise is displayed attractively and organized.
• Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies.
• Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance on customer service best practices.
• Utilize retail math skills to manage sales figures and assist with pricing strategies.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance customer satisfaction.

Skills

• Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail in processing transactions.
• Proficient in basic math skills for accurate sales calculations and inventory management.
• Experience in retail sales with a proven ability to sell products effectively.
• Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing.
• Ability to upsell products by understanding customer needs and preferences.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a diverse customer base.
• Leadership qualities for supervising team members and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Pay: From $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
