We’re currently seeking a passionate and experienced Spanish teacher to lead a special Spanish Enrichment Program for preschoolers.
About the Role:
We are partnering with a local preschool in San Mateo to deliver an 10-week Spanish enrichment program for a group of 8–10 preschoolers. Classes will take place on Wednesdays or Fridays from 3:15pm to 3:55pm starting in March. If there is sufficient enrollment, there will also be additional an additional block from 4:05 to 4:45pm. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and a passion for teaching young learners, making language learning fun and interactive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Spanish lessons tailored to preschool-age children.
- Use creative methods, including songs, games, and hands-on activities, to teach vocabulary and basic conversational skills.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with the preschool administration and Plato leadership to ensure program success.
- Provide feedback to parents and the school on student engagement and progress as needed.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Experience teaching preschool or young children, preferably in a language learning or enrichment setting.
- Creative teaching style with the ability to keep preschoolers engaged and enthusiastic.
- Strong communication skills and professionalism.
- Must be available for the full 10-week program.
- Reliable transportation to San Mateo.
