Description : ASSISTANT TRACK COACH - Discus and Shot Put
Location : Platte Canyon High School
Schedule : March - May 2025
Salary : Per Board approved 2024-2025 Coaching Salary Schedule - $1700
Qualifications : C oaching experience at the middle school or high school level desired
Coaching experience specific to discus and shot put
Playing experience in high school and college preferred
Evidence of continued pursuit of coaching education
Minimum of 3 references to support character, leadership qualities and validate experience
Responsibilities :
Coaches report to the school athletic director and the school principal.
Leadership is to be provided in the following areas :
Be an active positive member of the faculty
Teach sound, safe fundamentals in progression to enhance the athlete's
opportunity to succeed
Establish and execute sound and proven offensive and defensive strategies
Monitor athletes' behavior on the court, classroom and community
Work with athletic director on budget and supply orders
Assist athletic director with court maintenance and preparation
Distribute, collect and inventory equipment and supplies
Establish and maintain sound communications with parents, boosters and community
