You will play a key role in ensuring that our clinic runs smoothly by handling patient check-ins, scheduling, insurance verification and communication. Job Title: Front Desk Receptionist
Reports To: Clinic Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Greet and welcome patients upon arrival, creating a friendly and professional atmosphere.

Manage patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate collection of patient information and payment processing.

Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding appointments, clinic services, and general questions.

Schedule and confirm appointments via phone or in person, coordinating between patients and healthcare providers.

Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork, answering any questions they may have.

Verify insurance information and handle co-payments, resolving billing issues when needed.

Communicate with healthcare staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely appointments.

Perform general office duties such as filing, faxing, and ordering office supplies as necessary.

Provide a positive and engaging patient experience, addressing concerns and providing guidance as needed.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specialized Training:
Experience with Athena Medical Records (preferred)
Certificates and Licenses:
Basic Life Support (CPR & AED) certification
