This individual serves as the primary contact for meeting hosts and wears a variety of hats throughout event planning process. We are seeking a professional with great communication and people skills, who is organized and adaptable and demonstrates a service-focused approach to event management.

This position works a 40-hour workweek schedule onsite Monday through Friday at Platte River’s headquarters offices in Fort Collins and is eligible for occasional hybrid workdays. Job duties require light to moderate physical effort.
This individual supports approximately one evening event per quarter and three weekend events per year (actual scheduling may vary).

Essential duties and responsibilities
- Models the mission, vision, values, and culture of the organization.
- Coordinates all aspects of meetings and events scheduled and held at the energy engagement center and training rooms upon request.
- Reviews online meeting event applications, service-now requests, and promptly corresponds to request, track, and document to ensure information is detailed to meet the needs and expectations of stakeholders.
- Consults with customers to determine objectives and requirements for event.
- Coordinates with external stakeholders, contract/paperwork setup, scheduling, handling logistics of room setup, facility equipment, technology, and security notification of guest list.
- Arranges event technology setup of audio-visual equipment, presentations or displays and all other associated technology event needs.
- Troubleshoots and handles any issues that arise during meetings and events.
- Accurately maintains the energy engagement center event calendar and posts updates to intranet.
- Maintains confidential, professional, and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provides backup administrative support to executive leadership and to a variety of departments within the organization such as technology, finance, human resources, safety, facilities, security, and operations.
- Understands general food safety practices.
- Coordinates safety announcements or information prior to the start of meetings and events held at the energy engagement center.
- Assist the senior event specialist with planning and execution of company-wide and community engagement events.
- Provides backup support for travel services, including research and coordination of business travel arrangements and timely reconciliation of travel expenses.
- Provides backup support for supply ordering and stocking in common areas at headquarters location.
- Understands general function of the organization and stays current on staff, business needs, and trends.
- Operates a company fleet vehicle to perform duties at other locations as needed.
- Works evenings, weekends, or overtime hours as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Associate degree in business or hospitality management preferred.
- Have a valid driver’s license and be able to meet Platte River's liability requirements as an approved driver.
- Event-specific experience: 2 or more years in event planner, coordinator, or closely related position.
- Administrative support: 1-year minimum proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Full pay range: $62,022 to $80,661 if annualized.
- Hiring range: $62,022 if $71,342 if annualized.
