Dog Walker/Pet Sitter

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the ability to provide exceptional care for dogs of various breeds and sizes. As a Dog Walker, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of the pets in your care while providing them with exercise and companionship. This role requires reliability, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a positive experience for both pets and their owners.

Duties

• Walk dogs in various weather conditions, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and mental stimulation.
• Monitor the behavior and health of each dog during walks, reporting any concerns to pet owners.
• Provide basic pet care as needed, including feeding, administering medication, or cleaning up after pets.
• Ensure all dogs are leashed properly and follow safety protocols during walks.
• Maintain a positive relationship with pet owners through regular communication about their dog's activities and behavior.
• Handle multiple dogs at once when required, demonstrating strong animal handling skills.
• Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, such as moving pet supplies or equipment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in pet care, such as dog walking, pet sitting, or working as a veterinary assistant is preferred.
• Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage different breeds and temperaments.
• Knowledge of basic animal behavior and training techniques is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when required; must be physically fit to manage active dogs.
• Familiarity with equine care is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with both pets and their owners.
• A valid driver's license may be required depending on the location of services provided.
