Part-Time Assistant Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part time Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role is essential in supporting the lead teacher in implementing educational programs that promote the social, emotional, and cognitive development of students. Experience in early childhood education or daycare settings is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing daily lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Support children’s learning through engaging activities focused on literacy, math, and social skills.
• Foster a safe and nurturing environment for all students.
• Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to the lead teacher.
• Help maintain classroom organization and cleanliness.
• Encourage positive behavior and social interactions among students.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
• Assisting to close down the building at the end of each day.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting is preferred.
• Ability to create engaging learning experiences tailored to individual student needs.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A compassionate attitude towards children and a commitment to their well-being.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must pass a background check.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
