POSITION SUMMARY

Play Day Café opened in 2016 and is a family owned business operating an indoor playground facility with a cafe and party center for children ages infant through 12 years. At 15,000 square feet, we are the largest indoor playground facility in Ohio. The mega-sized playground brings a modern, obstacle course approach to children's fitness through active play and we pride ourselves as being an industry leader in our area for Family Entertainment and Recreation Centers.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Execute facility processes, procedures and standards to the company operations and service standards
- Prepare food and beverage items according to facility procedures and serving standards ensuring freshness and quality
- Explain and enforce facility rules, activities and operations in a fun and understandable way
- Monitor play areas and ensure all guests adhere to the rules of the facility and explain or clarify the rules as necessary
- Execute parties and group events following approved procedures
- Ensure the equipment and facilities are kept clean and in accordance with health and safety regulations and facility procedures; and are used in an appropriate way
- Clean and sanitize all areas, per the facility operating procedures
- Maintaining personal health and sanitation standards
- Follow correct cash and credit handling procedures; process purchases accurately
- Represent a high-standard of customer service at all times
- Performing other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Must be 16 years of age
- Ability to work and be flexible with all shifts, weekends, holidays and special events. Weekend availability is required.
- Prior experience a plus, but not required
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
- Ability to read, speak, write and understand English
- Ability to maintain high-energy throughout the entire shift
- Proficient interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to accurately reconcile all cash and currency, including processing credit cards, making change, and other basic math skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to learn and use technical equipment (e.g. espresso machine, kitchen equipment)
- Willingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment
- Ability to learn and use company point of sale system
- Ability to coordinate multiple activities with attention to detail
- Ability to provide a high quality of customer service by ensuring friendly and courteous guest interactions at all times to make each guest’s experience positive
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, software manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Comply with Personal Appearance and Hygiene policy that presents a professional appearance
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Self-motivated and learns quickly
