Retail Assistant Manager

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Assistant Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing store operations and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Supervise and train retail staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork.
• Lead sales team during business hours including; helping customers, purchasing inventory, answering phone calls, stocking shelves, etc.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Utilize POS systems for transactions, returns, and inventory management.
• Analyze sales data to identify trends and develop strategies for improving performance.
• Manage shifts effectively to ensure optimal customer service and store upkeep.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
• Assist in budgeting and financial planning activities for the store.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail management or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong administrative skills with proficiency in math for budgeting purposes.
• Familiarity with market trends and consumer behavior in the retail sector.
• Experience with POS systems and inventory management software.
• Excellent shift management capabilities to ensure smooth operations during all hours of service.
• Proven team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff members.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Valid Drivers License
