Preschool Teacher

Job Summary
Preschool in Middle Village, Queens is looking for a Lead Teacher to work with children ages 1-3 years old. Candidate must have a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field and minimum 2 years' experience. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves implementing engaging lesson plans that align with our curriculum while ensuring each child's individual needs are met. The Preschool Teacher will work collaboratively with parents and staff to create a positive learning experience.

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and literacy education.
• Plan and conduct engaging lessons that cater to various learning styles and developmental stages.
• Assess children's progress through standardized testing and observational methods to tailor instruction effectively.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that supports children's social and emotional growth.
• Collaborate with parents to discuss children's development and address any concerns regarding their learning or behavior.
• Maintain accurate records of each child's progress, attendance, and any special education needs.
• Foster a love for learning through hands-on activities, play-based learning, and exploration in line with Montessori principles when applicable.
• Ensure the classroom is organized, clean, and conducive to learning while adhering to daycare regulations.

Experience

• Previous experience in a preschool or daycare setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with childhood development principles and practices is essential.
• Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning is highly desirable.
