The associate will handle all aspects of museum work: cleaning and maintaining the museum facility and its exhibits, welcoming guests warmly, answering phones, attending to birthday parties, and keeping everything running smoothly.

Overview
The purpose of the Children’s Museum Associate position is to interact with guests in a friendly and efficient way, ensuring they have a great experience at Play Street Museum.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides excellent customer service in person and while answering phone inquiries and when responding to complaints.
- Opens and closes the Museum as needed.
- Greets customers and registers them to play.
- Keeps all areas of the museum clean by following the procedures in place.
- Puts away toys during and between play sessions, wipes down surfaces and toys and ensures all exhibits are clean, tidy, and play-ready.
- Assists customers with special activities such as slime, pottery painting, canvas painting, and dip dye.
- Hosts, runs, and facilitates birthday parties and special events. Sets up before the event/party starts and cleans up after the event/party ends.
- Keeps a balanced drawer.
- Implements any and all procedures during an emergency.
- Displays a customer comes first attitude and a calm demeanor during periods of high traffic and challenging situations with caregivers and their children.
- Promptly reports all guest service issues to the Museum Owner and/or Manager.
Qualifications:
- A friendly attitude.
- Experience with children is preferred.
- Ability to maintain scheduling commitments.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours at a time, bend and lift 30 lbs, and pick up toys repeatedly.
- Ability to show initiative and take direction.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must provide documentation of legal U.S. residency.
- Must be able to manage tasks quickly and efficiently.
- Must have a clear background check.
