Overview

The Team Lead is responsible for creating a fun, engaging, and stress-free experience for guests of all ages at birthday parties. This individual will be the go-to person for all event activities, guest coordination, and event flow. The role requires energy, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and individuals in a dynamic environment. Play Street Museum hosts 32 parties per month (8 / weekend). The Team Lead will be the backup to the manager and will assume additional duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Work with the event coordinator to understand the birthday party theme, schedule, and specific preferences.
Assist in setting up the party space, decorations, and any necessary party supplies or equipment.
Manage day before prep required (inflate balloons, confirm food delivery, etc.).
Effectively lead the scheduled staff during the party (assign roles set-up, clean-up, etc.)
Ensure all activities (i.e. slime, pottery) are ready and planned according to the party agenda.
Quickly address any issues that arise, from guest needs to technical difficulties.
Handle any conflicts or challenges between guests in a calm, friendly manner.
Party time management not to exceed 90 minutes (120 minutes if party extension purchased)
Help with post-party clean-up or direct guests in cleanup, ensuring the venue is left in good condition.
Assist in packing up any leftover decorations or personal items for the client.
Check out customer for payment of the remaining balance.
Back up to the manager as needed.
Ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Manage "Play by Reservation" sessions, including opening and closing, as needed.

Effective time management skills (as all parties are 90 -120 minutes and space needs to be turned around for the next party)

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively

Schedule

This position requires someone that can work most Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Friday : 4 PM - 6 : 30 PM (Birthday Party Prep & Closing)

Saturday : 8AM - 7 : 00 PM (7 : 30 if party is extended)

Sunday : 8 AM - 7 : 00 PM (7 : 30 if party is extended)

Compensation

19 tips

Available shifts and compensation : Available shifts on Sundays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Compensation is $19.00 / hour.
