Would you like to use a ridiculous amount of LEGO® materials to teach kids the basics of coding and robotics? If so, then this may be your dream job!
At Play-Well TEKnologies we are dedicated to teaching students in grades K-8 about engineering and robotics through hands-on experience with LEGO®, inquiry-based learning, and play.
We are looking for smart, creative, dynamic instructors from computer science and/or education backgrounds to teach LEGO® camps where students are introduced to the LEGO® Spike Prime® system and basic programming concepts. Students then have the opportunity to unlock their creativity and problem-solving skills through additional challenges and activities.
Schedule:
- Summer: M-F, half-day and full-day camps, typically between 9am and 4pm, plus setup/breakdown
Compensation: Instructors are paid for all hours worked, including teaching, setup, round trip drive time, and training. Also, any day that you teach, you receive AT MINIMUM 3 hours of pay.

Qualifications
- Serves as a representative of Play-Well in a positive and professional manner.
- Completes all training programs as required by the Area Manager.
- Understands the curriculum and concepts thoroughly to be able to provide value to participants with diverse abilities and interests.
- Manages each class session, ensuring the children are safe, engaged, and having fun.
- Communicates with parents and clients in a knowledgeable, respectful and tactful manner to address questions or concerns.
- Adheres to all Play-Well and facility safety procedures and procedures for supervision and release of children.
- Care, safekeeping, and upkeep of assigned LEGO® teaching kit(s).
- Responds quickly to communications from management, whether by phone, text, or email.
- Regularly communicates with Area Manager with questions, concerns and updates.
Education / Experience / Requirements
- Work history varies. Computer science and some teaching experience is preferred.
- Reliable transportation and a secure location to store teaching materials are required.
- Lift up to 50 lbs to store and transport materials; bending, stooping and crawling with children during class instruction.
- Must pass all background checks as a condition of employment.
Salary : $24 - $29
