Responsibilities:
- Supports management to reinforce excellent guest service while meeting restaurant standards.
- In absence of the Manager, ensures service standards and procedures are met, all financial transactions (cash, inventory, etc.) are adhered to and solves customer complaints quickly and with a smile.
- Able to interact with guests in a friendly/fast manner.
- Serve tables or section, bartend, buss tables, run food as needed or determined by management during shift.
- Complete knowledge of restaurants’ food and beverage preparation, selling alcohol and food items.
- Work as a team with all Restaurants’ personnel to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service; maintain safety and sanitation requirements as per Health Department and Restaurant standards.
- Responsible service of alcohol. Verify identification and age requirements of guests. Count number of drinks served.
- Ensure the restaurant is clean, inviting, stocked, and organized in accordance with restaurant standards.
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Qualifications:
- Be over 21 years old; possess a minimum of 4 years front of house experience, shift leadership preferred.
- Posse or obtain Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) compliance through Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) and California Food Handler’s permit
- Must be able to suggestively sell food and beverage items; ability to handle money and give correct change.
- Strong attention to detail, good time management skills, and ability to multi-task for table service; able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Customer focused, courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor while providing excellent customer service. Ability to effectively listen to and respond to customer needs; possess excellent communication skills.
- Walks and stands during entire shift; ability to remain stationary for long periods of time; reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop, and wipe. Ability to transport a service tray balanced with beverages, water and glassware, and plates of various sizes and shapes.
