Playabilities is a multi-disciplinary pediatric occupational, physical, and speech therapy clinic located in Johnson County, Kansas. We provide personalized, intensive, and client-centered therapy services for children with various neurodevelopmental disabilities including developmental delays, autism, and sensory processing disorder. We provide a relaxed, yet professional work environment comprised of a collection of highly motivated, self-driven therapists who feed off of each other’s love for their job and compassion for helping our families. The Occupational Therapist is responsible for managing the entire client experience from initial evaluation to implementation of treatment to family education to discharge. No two children are the same and therapists will need to use their expertise and creativity to connect with their clients, implementing a variety of approaches to find the “just right” therapeutic fit for your clients. Our therapy style is primary play-based in a one-on-one setting however, therapists doing activities together is not uncommon.
Expectations
Therapist will need to be a quick learner, capable of juggling multiple tasks and responsibilities at one time while providing high-touch service to clients, families and caregivers.
Availability
The position will be responsible for a range of 25-35 billable hours per week. The position will start with part-time hours (10-15 hours/week) and build into a full-time position (25-35 hours/week) over the course of the first few months of employment.
The ideal candidate will have availability to work 4-5 days a week, with 3 days of extended availability (~8/9 AM to 6/7 PM). Extended availability would be on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Monday would be a morning shift and potential Saturday work if the therapist is available.
