What are the responsibilities and job description for the Playabilites Clinical Rotation position at Playabilities For Sensational Kids, LLC?
Playabilities is a multidisciplinary pediatric occupational, physical, and speech therapy outpatient clinic with two locations, in Leawood and Prairie Village, Kansas. We provide personalized, intensive, and client-centered therapy services for children with various neurodevelopmental disabilities including developmental delays, autism, and sensory processing disorder. We provide a relaxed, yet professional work environment consisting of a collection of highly motivated, self-driven therapists who feed off of each other’s love for their profession and compassion for helping our families. The culture of our clinic is service-oriented, and our highest objective is providing the best possible treatment and care for our clients, every step of the way.
Students at Playabilities are expected to work closely with his or her Clinical Instructor (CI) or Supervisor. Students are expected to follow clinical guidelines and work in a collaborative environment to best support Playabilities’ clients. Students are expected to apply clinical knowledge and seek support from CI/ supervisors throughout the placement. Students may be required to pursue outside research to gain better understanding of different diagnoses he or she may work with. Students are expected to follow his or her supervisor’s daily schedule and report to the clinic prepared with therapeutic ideas and plans for Playabilities’ clients.
All clinics are open to having students. Students will be placed based on which environment would be the best fit.
