Reporting to the VP of Online Game Development, the Principal Math Designer will be responsible for managing the development of math and design for AGSi games, including slots, tables, and other genres.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implementation, and operation of game mathematics for slots, table games, and other genres of games.
  • Compile and evaluate new gameplay metrics.
  • Create mathematical game concepts based on game design requirements provided.
  • Research and create intellectual property based on industry knowledge.
  • Work closely with the VP of Online Game Development to achieve desired gameplay based on game design criteria.
  • Evaluate competitive games and provide feedback.
  • Contribute to developing the game roadmap.
  • Solve problems independently and provide help to other team members.
  • Work with Game Producers on completing game submissions to independent test houses.
  • Answer field questions from test houses or regulatory bodies.

Skills / Requirements

  • 7 years of experience in the gaming industry; casino industry experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computational Physics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of extensive math usage on the job (i.e., math models, formulas, etc.) and computer programming.
  • Proven record of delivering successful games in land or online.
  • Excellent knowledge of probabilistic and statistical methods with the ability to implement these statistical methods and write computer programs.
  • Knowledge of regulations and intellectual property based on industry experience.
  • Must be able to clearly document and communicate results utilizing strong written and verbal skills.
  • Excellent Excel skills are a must.
  • Excellent C / C or C# skills are a must.
  • Creative, forward-thinking, and thrives in a fast-paced technology product development and high-stress environment.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work with deadlines in a fast-paced and quick turnaround environment.
