This is a permanent part-time position offering 22 hours per week. Option to do 4 days across Monday to Friday 8.30am – 3.00pm. This role is fully remote, working from home with occasional travel to regional meetings. The start date may be brought forward if the right candidate is found sooner.

Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Provide leadership and support to Kaimahi in their role, ensuring consistent and high-quality service delivery across Playcentre branches.
- Oversee and monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, identifying any areas that need additional support or attention.
- Collaborate with Regional Leadership to implement effective strategies and improve branch performance.
- Mentor and develop Kaimahi, providing training and support to enhance team capabilities.
- Lead the evaluation and reporting of branch compliance to ensure adherence to standards.
- Act as a liaison between regulatory bodies such as the Ministry of Education, Education Review Office and Playcentre whānau.
- Ensure timely resolution of compliance issues and provide actionable plans for improvement.
- Proven experience in Early Childhood Education, with Playcentre knowledge preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, motivate and guide a team to success.
- Knowledge of Early Childhood Education compliance and licensing regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to build effective relationships.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of te ao Māori and a commitment to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.
