Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our Nido (Infant) Classroom. The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that aligns with Montessori principles. Responsibilities include assisting with daily routines, preparing the learning environment, and ensuring the safety and well-being of infants aged 0 to 24 months.​

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing Montessori-based activities that promote sensory and motor development.​
• Support infants in developing independence and self-confidence through guided exploration. ‘
• Be a passionate, caring and loving caregiver.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.​
• Collaborate with the lead teacher to observe and document each child's progress.​
• Communicate effectively with parents and staff to ensure a cohesive approach to each child's development.​
• As a closing teacher, clean and sanitize the classroom to be ready for use the next day.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in early childhood education is a plus
• Previous experience working with infants or toddlers in a childcare setting.​
• Understanding of or willingness to learn Montessori educational principles.​
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.​

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
