What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or Occupational Therapist position at Playhaus Pediatric Therapy?
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team in a PRN or part-time position. In this role, you will work with individuals of various ages to help them develop, recover, or maintain skills necessary for daily living and work activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate clients' physical, mental, and emotional health.
- Develop personalized therapy plans to improve clients' motor skills, coordination, and daily living functions.
- Implement therapeutic techniques, exercises, and interventions.
- Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Educate clients and families on strategies for improving daily life and increasing independence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (for OT) or an associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting (for COTA).
- Valid state licensure and certification.
- Experience in a clinical or healthcare setting preferred.
- Experience in pediatrics preferred.
- Love for children.
- Experience with neurodivergent population (Autism, Sensory Processing, ADHD, ADD, etc.)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
