The Opportunity
As our Performance Architect, you'll own the performance strategy for our platforms, ensuring maximum stability, low latency, and scalability. Reporting directly to our Director of Architecture, you'll work alongside cross-functional teams to implement rigorous performance standards and define company-wide best practices.
What You'll Do
- Strategize & Optimize: Develop and execute a comprehensive performance improvement plan that balances short-term fixes with long-term system evolution.
- Drive Observability: Leverage Dynatrace to design and implement custom metrics, dashboards, and alerts that provide deep insights into system performance.
- Load Testing & Validation: Design and run load testing scenarios that accurately simulate high-transaction conditions, ensuring system resilience under pressure.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with developers, operations, and the service reliability engineering team to identify bottlenecks and integrate performance solutions seamlessly.
- Set Benchmarks: Establish and enforce performance standards that guide developing and maintaining scalable, high-performing systems.
Who You Are
- Experienced: You have 8 years in performance engineering (with 10 years in software development), ideally within high-transaction or iGaming environments.
- Technically Proficient: You're an expert with Dynatrace and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter), and you have a strong background in .NET, Java, AWS, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures.
- Collaborative: Your communication skills allow you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, influencing performance best practices across the board.
- Analytical & Methodical: You approach challenges with a data-driven mindset, ensuring that every optimisation is measurable and impactful.
- Fluent & Adaptive: You're fluent in English and have experience working in remote teams within EU timezones.
