SUPPORTS OPERATIONAL, FINANCE, AND SUPPLY FUNCTIONS:
Ensuring smooth supply of materials and services to No Fault through the identification of qualified sources of supply, maintaining beneficial commercial relationships, and coordinating delivery of the right material, services, equipment and rentals, at the right time, and in the right quantity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Procures materials, supplies, equipment, and services/freight - Utilizing local systems and other ordering tools to make purchasing decisions and manage Purchase Orders to prevent stock-out events, analyzing pertinent requisition data for all project materials requirements, determining necessary action, preparing purchase order transactions, and transmitting to supplier with appropriate record keeping.
- Establishes optimum order points - Review purchase request data and project takeoff material requirements lead-time for project installation, material costs, transaction costs, freight costs, and design change schedules.
- Supports supply chain improvements - Evaluating the supply base for high-risk items (lead-time or cash flow impact), creating, and implementing countermeasures in consultation with Purchasing Management, Finance Team Members, and No Fault Operations Team.
- Provides support to Operations Team - Obtaining optimized freight, equipment and materials quotes, creating quotes, creating external PO’s coordinating ship dates, and executing shipping transactions for direct-to-customer ship products. Addresses requests for Discontinued items and provides pricing and lead-time information.
- Maintain historical references - Keeping accurate records of all purchase requisitions, requests for quotations, price proposals, purchase orders, delivery receipts, contracts, forecasts, and non-conforming material including in-transit inventory transactions, as required.
- Provide support to the finance department - Assisting in the verification of invoices to ensure materials are received and invoice price matches agreed pricing including troubleshooting Medius discrepancies.
- Maintain professional knowledge - Attending educational seminars, conferences, workshops and meetings when required.
- Contribute to team effort - Accomplishing all necessary tasks and elements of the specific job function and further supporting all other company personnel and departments whenever necessary.
- Maintain compliance with environmental standards - Complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Inventory Control – Keeping adequate inventory levels to support operations while maintaining established inventory turns.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Must be computer and office technology literate.
- Must have advanced skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Experience with Materials Requirements (MRP) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is preferred.
- Experience with Supplier Evaluation, Lean Purchasing Practices, and a proven record of Professional Development is preferred.
- Must have good organizational skills and be able to prioritize responsibilities.
- Must be able to communicate well with co-workers, senior staff members and all internal customers as well as external customers, suppliers, and sales representatives.
- Must be able to work as an integral member in a team environment.
- Knowledge of and experience with quality management systems and practices is preferred.

- Normal office environment or may be exposed to noise if working in a production area.

Compensation:
- Compensation for this position will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications, aligning with industry standards. The hourly/salary range for Baton Rouge, LA, is also based upon geographical market standards for industry and position in those areas.
