About the Role:
The INFANT Lead Teacher at PLAYTO LLC will play a pivotal role in shaping the early educational experiences of infants in our care. This position is responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the cognitive, emotional, and social development of each child. With the support of our Education Director, the Lead Infant Teacher will design and implement age-appropriate curricula that engage infants through play and exploration, fostering a love for learning from an early age. Additionally, this role involves collaborating with parents and caregivers to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development. Ultimately, the Lead Teacher will contribute to building a strong foundation for lifelong learning and development in our youngest learners.
Minimum Qualifications:
- CDA, Associates, Bachelor's degree or some college credits in ECE or related field OR a High School Diploma with at least 5 years experience in a regulated (licensed) childcare program are required for a Lead position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience with curriculum development and implementation for infants.
- Familiarity with DOH regulations and best practices in early childhood education.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of infants.
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Observe and assess each child's progress, providing feedback and support to parents and caregivers.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to ensure a cohesive approach to early childhood education.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and communicate regularly with families about their child's progress.
