Job Description
Supervises and leads the daily operation of early childhood education programs for assigned classrooms. Provides management/leadership and coordinates multiple priorities. Assures implementation of health and safety practices, curriculum, instruction, policies and procedures within assigned classrooms. Works with diverse families, community groups, and staff. Performs management functions of planning, organizing, monitoring, staffing and leading.
Pay Scale
Step 1 Bachelors Degree: $2,638.48/ per pay period (bi-weekly)
Step 2 Masters Degree: $2,928.65/ per pay period (bi-weekly)

Required
- Baccalaureate degree in early childhood education, early childhood development, educational administration, early childhood curriculum and assessment, or closely related field with 30 credits of early childhood education courses and teaching experience.
- At least two years of successful classroom teaching experience with children birth to five years of age.
- Must meet minimum requirements for Colorado Department of Human Services Director Qualified status or agree to immediately begin coursework for DQ and be able to obtain in a timely manner.
- At least one year of supervisory experience and training in supervisory skills, communications, group process, observation techniques, management and organization.
- Knowledgeable and skilled in the use of computers and computer software programs such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, and other software programs.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination, TB test, drug test (including marijuana), and background check in accordance with the Office of Head Start Performance Standards and Childcare Licensing. (Physical examination and TB test thereafter as required).
- Must have access to reliable transportation and if using a personal vehicle must maintain minimum liability insurance as determined by the State of Colorado.
- Master’s degree in early childhood education, early childhood development, educational administration, early childhood curriculum and assessment, or closely related field with 30 credits of early childhood courses and teaching experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
