What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Agent position at Plaza Hotel Fort Lauderdale?
Under the direction of the Reception Manager, your responsibilities will be as follows:
· Greet people who come to the hotel reception
· Answer the phone, screen and route calls, take messages
· Maintain records of available rooms, reservations and rented rooms
· Register customers in the arrivals register and assign them rooms
· Respond to inquiries about the services offered by the Hotel
· Compile and verify daily registers, customer accounts, cash statements and supporting documents using computerized systems
· Present bills to guests leaving the hotel and collect monies owed.
REQUIREMENTS
· High School diploma or equivalent required
· French-English bilingualism
· Easy to communicate
· Interpersonal skills, tact, diplomacy, and politeness
· Sense of responsibility and organization
· Customer service skills (welcoming, smiling, attentive and dedicated)
· Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Hotel & Accommodations Guest Services Staff: 1 year (Preferred)
- Hotel experience: 1 year (Preferred)
